100% Water Soluble Calcium

Pro Cal 20%+

PRO CAL 20+ is derived from Calcium Carbonate that has gone through a proprietary process to render it’s particle size to less than one micron and completely water soluble. This high level of solubility elevates PRO CAL 20+ above all other Calcium sources currently on the market as a nutritional Calcium source. PRO CAL 20+ also contains a plant derived protein Nitrogen that has been proven to facilitate uptake and transportation of Calcium within the plant.

Why Pro Cal Is Unique

Pro Cal 20+ is derived from Calcium Carbonate that has gone through a proprietary process to render its particle size to less than one micron and completly water soluble. This high level of solubility elevates Pro Cal 20+ above all other Calcium sources currently on the market as a source for nutritional Calcium.

Calcium's Role in Fertility

Calcium has many important roles in soil health not only as a nutritional component in both plant and soil but a physical one as well. In a sand based green with low organic matter, Calcium is allowed to react with other anions and precipitate out of the soil solution. With its high level of solubility ProCal20+ can be used at low frequent rates to help fulfill the nutritional demands of the plant while improving overall cation ratios in the soil solution.

Real World Example:

Calcium as a nutritional component of a fertility program, can be misunderstood when looking at soil tests. For example, a traditional soil test may show an adequate amount of calcium. The solubility and availability of altogether. The following example compares data from an actual soil test performed on a sand-based green. The sample was tested using traditional acid extraction as well as a paste extraction. The sample soil solution weight was based on 90,000 pounds.

  • Acid extraction value found: 3923 pounds per acre
  • Paste extraction value found: 18.53 PPm

We can convert PPM to pounds per acre by multiplying 18.53 by .09 and see that there is only1.67 pounds of soluble calcium per acre in this sample. By applying 4lbs per acre of of Pro Cal 20+ one can deliver nearly 50% more readily available Calcium.
